Since 2014, we have been dedicated to sourcing our raw materials not only organically but also fairly. We believe our products can only be truly sustainable if they are both eco-friendly and beneficial to the communities producing these materials. From supporting the rebuilding of crisis-hit regions and funding training programmes to protecting biodiversity, our commitment to fair raw materials achieves so much more!
Our Fair Raw Materials
Fair Argan Oil from Morocco
Our precious argan oil is lovingly handcrafted by Berber women from the nuts of the argan tree in southwest Morocco. This traditional craft, steeped in heritage, has been recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
Fair Avocado Oil from Kenya
Our nourishing avocado oil is sourced from a forested mountain region near the Mount Kenya massif. The small farmers’ initiative BIO-PLANÈTE is dedicated to sustainable fair-trade production and ensuring humane working conditions for all involved.
Fair Coconut Oil from India
Our coconut oil from Kerala, India, provides not only secure, long-term working conditions but also promising future opportunities, thanks to its year-round harvesting season. Fair trade supports everyone involved through specialised training programmes and social initiatives, such as building a school kitchen.
Fair Olive Oil from Palestine
Through our fair trade partner Trees for Life, more than 100,000 young olive trees have been donated to families whose groves were destroyed in the Israel-Palestine conflict. Additionally, fair trade in olives supports university scholarships for young people in the region, providing hope and opportunities for a brighter future.
Fair Shea Butter from Uganda
Our fair trade shea butter helps protect the precious shea trees from being cut down for the local charcoal industry. By paying above-average prices, we provide local communities with a reliable and sustainable source of income for the future.
Fair Almond Oil from Pakistan
In the conflict-affected region of northern Pakistan, our partner, the Mountain Fruit Company, has been fostering stability and creating future opportunities since 2000 through organic farming and sustainable distribution. And while this important work is reason enough to admire them, we’re also huge fans of the exceptional quality of their almond oil.
Fair Apricot Kernel Oil from Pakistan
Our apricot kernel oil also comes from our trusted partner, the Mountain Fruit Company in northern Pakistan. Fair trade initiatives have significantly strengthened the region’s infrastructure while making notable strides in promoting equality and empowering local communities.
Fair Pomegranate Seed Oil from Azerbaijan
Fair and organic: on 400 hectares in the southern Caucasus of Azerbaijan, pomegranates flourish as far as the eye can see. The seeds of regional varieties are carefully processed and cold-pressed locally, resulting in our exquisite organic oil with its golden-yellow hue and silky, nourishing texture.
Fair Sacha Inchi Oil from Peru
In the San Martín province, we work alongside local farmers in the Amazon region to ensure the production of this nutrient-rich oil is both worthwhile and sustainable – benefiting both people and nature.
Fair Cocoa Butter from Peru
Our premium cocoa butter comes from a small agricultural cooperative in western Peru. The cocoa trees are cultivated in mixed cultures, promoting biodiversity that benefits both the local community and the environment.
Fair Aloe Vera from Mexico
In the highlands of central Mexico, local farmers cultivate and process our aloe vera using ecological and sustainable methods. By paying above-average prices, we help offer a viable alternative to deforestation in the region.
