Sometimes, the smallest things hold a lifetime of stories. For our “Seeds of Wisdom” necklace, Berlin-based artist Joanna Tofilo has immortalised a safflower seed in 925 sterling silver. The result is a piece of jewellery as unique as nature itself. Suspended from an adjustable nylon cord, the silver pendant is made to accompany you through everyday life.
The Art of Preserving Memories
The safflower seed was chosen for a reason: it is the source of safflower oil, one of the ingredients in our Luminous Oil Elixir. But for the artist, plants and seeds are much more than beautiful shapes.
Joanna Tofilo's jewellery tells stories of memories, change and new beginnings. When she moved from Warsaw to Berlin in 2009, the thuja tree in her Warsaw garden withered. She decided to cast its cones in silver, laying the foundation for her first jewellery collection. To this day, her “Essence of Nature” collection preserves the shapes of plants and seeds – and with them, a piece of her own story.
“Seeds of Wisdom” reflects the philosophy behind our Cell Power⁺ range: beauty grows with our experiences. And sometimes, the smallest things stay with us the longest. The tiny seed becomes a symbol for everyone following their own path.
Shaped by Nature. Finished by Hand.
The natural shape of a safflower seed harvested in Germany is captured in 925 sterling silver through a casting process. Joanna Tofilo then carefully finishes each pendant by hand. Small irregularities are intentionally preserved, giving every piece of jewellery its own distinctive character.
