Democracy cannot be taken for granted. It thrives when we put its values into practice. Germany's Basic Law provides the foundation. But whether our society stands together is decided in everyday life. Democracy needs attention, care and sometimes a little extra support. Just like our skin.
With the Democracy Care Set, we bring together skincare and social commitment: For every set sold, i+m donates €10 to the Strong Democracy Fund (Spendenfonds Starke Demokratie) by bcause and PHINEO. Three carefully selected natural skincare favourites for face and body meet a commitment to a stronger society.
€10 for a Thriving Democracy
They're out there: people who shape, practise and defend democracy. People who stand up for human dignity, freedom and equality, working together to make a difference – in schools, neighbourhoods, associations and networks. Those who take responsibility every day need reliable support.
That's where the Strong Democracy Fund comes in. Politically independent, the fund supports ten carefully vetted civil society organisations working to strengthen democracy in different ways. They challenge disinformation and discrimination, promote democratic education and encourage participation in society.
The organisations receive flexible funding they can use wherever it's needed most. PHINEO assesses the quality and impact of their work, oversees reporting and documents what the funding achieves. bcause ensures that donations are processed digitally, securely and in compliance with legal requirements. This allows democratic initiatives to receive effective support without restrictive project requirements.
